If what you’re feeling is heavy but not immediately life‑threatening, you can:

  • Reach out to a trusted friend or family member and let them know how you’re feeling.
  • Talk to a teacher, counselor, or trusted adult.
  • Visit online directories for local professionals and support groups:

Yes! Everyone feels heavy emotions — but if those feelings are persistent for 2 weeks or more , intense, or affecting your daily life, it’s okay and important to talk to someone who can help.

You don’t have to have the “right words.” Just starting with “I’m struggling right now” is enough. Crisis listeners are trained to help you with whatever you’re going through.

Not every support option works the same for everyone, and that’s okay. If a hotline didn’t feel helpful before, you might consider trying another one, reaching out to a trusted friend, family member, school counselor, or a mental health professional. Different forms of support can feel different, and it may take time to find what works best for you. You deserve understanding and care, and there are people and resources that want to help.

If you are in immediate danger or feel unsafe, please seek urgent help from a trusted person nearby or local emergency services.

Then you’re welcome to reach out us at support@drawnfromthemind.org

But please note that we are not professional counselors, but we can help you connect with resources and guide you toward the right support.
